Because our litigation and dispute resolution team has extensive experience with more than 60 types of Businesses and Industries, we are uniquely qualified when called upon to: analyze whether or not the disputed transactions are recorded in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and published industry standards; expose financial statement fraud; uncover understated income and value business assets in divorce proceedings and commercial litigation; and, determine compliance with the financial terms of contracts and agreements that are the subject of complex litigation.
We are extremely effective evaluating the strengths and weakness of the respective parties claims and defenses, and work tirelessly with legal counsel and the client in creating an effective scope of work, planning the forensic engagement, and developing impactful strategies during the pre-suit and litigation periods, based on the facts and evidence, as presented.
With more than 30 years of forensic accounting and audit experience, our litigation and dispute resolution team has analyzed the substance and reasonableness of hundreds of complicated business transactions; identified unrecorded, understated or hidden assets and income in divorce matters; detected & quantified unrecorded or off-the-book transactions; uncovered conflicts of interest, self-dealing, undisclosed related party transactions & kickback schemes; investigated acts of employee dishonesty, embezzlement & collusion; and reconstructed the accounting, tax and financial records that have been manipulated, altered or destroyed either because of natural disasters, fraud or other irregularities.
Our team has a diverse range of experience representing insureds that file loss claims with their insurers, and the insurance companies that receive and defend loss claims resulting from natural disasters, theft, fire and explosions, and fraudulent claims. Having represented insureds and insurers, we fully understand the claims process and are uniquely qualified to prepare or defend a loss claim. ​

After Hurricanes Andrew, Katrina, Wilma and the many others that followed, we assisted homeowners, condominium associations, and businesses in recovering insurance proceeds after the insureds suffered the loss of assets, business interruption and lost profits, and incurred additional living expenses and costs to calculate loss claims, as the case may be. In this regard, we are instrumental in guiding the insureds through the claims process when losses occur caused by natural disasters, fire, theft and other perils.
Insurance companies have also retained the forensic team to evaluate and test the damage calculations, documents, and records that support a loss claims by insureds.
When necessary, we are prepare to offer persuasive and sound testimony at depositions, hearings and trials based on the facts, evidence and our detailed work and analyses.
